दास्ताने दिल...!!!


Was wondering what should be my 200th post like...???
Then suddenly something happened which reminded me of someone and which made me come up with this...Rest you are wise enough to understand...Don't go too deep and if you go, then don't think too deep and if you think too deep then don't relate me with anything... :P :P :P

कभी जिनकी एक झलक के लिए तड़पते थे हम ,
अब उनसे दो पल की गुफ्तगू की जुस्तजू में तड़पते हैं हम। 

 कभी जिनको देख लब्ज़ो पे आई बातें भी रुक सी जाती थी हमारे,
क्या अब उनके लिए दिल में बसे ढाई अक्षर भी कभी बयाँ कर पाएंगे लब्ज़ हमारे?

Till now for whose one glimpse I've always been waiting impatiently,
Now I also just keep waiting for the moment to talk to the person just once.

In front of whom I was never able to say even what I wished to,
Is it possible to say those heart felt words for the person now...???

*****Couldn't come up with a proper English Translation. Hope it conveys the full meaning.


PS: Special thanks to my sister for making me start this...have helped a lot to me at tough times...

    Gar daastaan e dil bas dhai akshar ho toh usay bayan befikar kar doh...
    Bayan karne ki koshish bhi na kar pao toh duniya idhar se udhar kar doh...
    Dastaan e dil bayan karne mein DARR ka bhi mazaa aata hai...
    Is Darr ka Mazaa lo aur khushi ya dard ko humsafar kar lo...

      Dard hamsafar na ban jaaye isi darr se to insaan ghabraata hai,
      jitni chhoti ho dastaan-e-dil bayaan karne mein utna hi dil machlaata hai.

A Long and A Lone Run.. Few thoughts..!!

Covid-19 has got to the nerves of everyone, someway or the other. However, there is one thing that has helped me maintain my sanity is endurance sports, like long runs and long bike rides. There are days, when I've started doing my own mini-duathlon (say 20-30km bike ride followed by 10k run). This might sound awkward to many, but there are few who will be okay with me doing this. Despite all this, even with so much physical activity, I've never attempted a half marathon alone. All my 14 half-marathons have been in some event or the other. Maximum distance I've covered alone, I guess, will be around 17-18km at a stretch. So to give it a try, last weekend, I thought of attempting a half marathon. All alone. I made this decision pretty late I guess, as weekend was almost over. Few days ago, I was wondering around thinking about, what will be our future????? We are always consoled by our parents that we have a bright future and we are going to reach the new heights of success.....but are we really gonna have it???????? A couple of decades earlier, it was easy for one to get placed.....Anyone somehow, someway get settled. No tension. But, today a big mob is running for the same.....So have you ever thought that where in this world do you stand????? Amidst this large crowd, what's our status????? We have to do something creative, innovative and discover something that is different from others with which we can move ahead and succeed in life.....
