Endurance: A Haiku...!!!



clouds may be dark, shine
never fades; longer is the
rain, nitid is its grace.

Written for: Haiku-Heights

PS: Longer the bad times are, the more we get accustomed of withstanding hardships...and when it ends, we're the one who'll be shining... :)

PS: But the questions is...Will we be able to survive all the hardships and emerge as shining sun at the end...because hard times sometimes appears to be everlasting...(although they are meant to end)???

    yes .. they ARE meant to end !!!you just need to withstand..
    Remember the scene from Shawshank Redemption.. when Andy is finally out, drenched in rain..with nitid look on his face... if not just watch that part again !! longer is the dark time, more is the shine in the morning.

    Hardship seems to be never ending but actually they are not!
    As you mentioned -clouds may be dark, shine
    never fades

    Though the way is dark in delusion at times but we have to manage to keep the gleam of self believe within so that it may lite up even the ever dark pathways ....
    Never stop believing in yourself!
    And the grace is how we overcome ! :)

    Liked your thought over using two colors determining the two scenes together.

A Long and A Lone Run.. Few thoughts..!!

Covid-19 has got to the nerves of everyone, someway or the other. However, there is one thing that has helped me maintain my sanity is endurance sports, like long runs and long bike rides. There are days, when I've started doing my own mini-duathlon (say 20-30km bike ride followed by 10k run). This might sound awkward to many, but there are few who will be okay with me doing this. Despite all this, even with so much physical activity, I've never attempted a half marathon alone. All my 14 half-marathons have been in some event or the other. Maximum distance I've covered alone, I guess, will be around 17-18km at a stretch. So to give it a try, last weekend, I thought of attempting a half marathon. All alone. I made this decision pretty late I guess, as weekend was almost over. Yup, it was just another usual Sunday evening (there wasn't anything special gonna happen while everyone is stuck in the lockdown). I geared up and went down for a run. However, with Corona around t

Few days ago, I was wondering around thinking about, what will be our future????? We are always consoled by our parents that we have a bright future and we are going to reach the new heights of success.....but are we really gonna have it???????? A couple of decades earlier, it was easy for one to get placed.....Anyone somehow, someway get settled. No tension. But, today a big mob is running for the same.....So have you ever thought that where in this world do you stand????? Amidst this large crowd, what's our status?????
